Instructions for Trunk
To prepare the Trunk recipe, please follow these instructions:
Whip the whole egg and sugar with chopsticks in a bowl for a thick eggshell. Sift the flour and fold it together with the cocoa, which is poured into hot water. Distribute the dough in a roulade form (baking tray from the oven), thoroughly greased or spread it on a piece of baking paper (the latter is easiest). Pour the roulade into a hot oven at 200 degrees for 8 - 10 minutes.
Take the roulade out of the oven and turn it onto a dish that is sprinkled with sugar. Pull the paper off and roll the cake together with the dishcloth in between.
To the buttercream pour butter, milk and cocoa into a saucepan. Gently heat it up until the butter is melted. Remove the casserole from the heat and let it cool a little. Bring in a flourish and whip it until the butter cream is even and thick.
Roll out the roulade, cut the edges straight. Grease 1/3 of the buttercream and roll the cake together. Put the rest in the fridge. Cut a slant of one end of the roulade and place it on the side so that it looks like a tree trunk. Cover the cake with cream and rub it with a fork so it looks like bark. Garnish with a little green.
