Instructions for Greek bread with buttermilk
To prepare the Greek bread with buttermilk recipe, please follow these instructions:
Lun buttermilk slightly without distinction. Stir yeast into the buttermilk and add salt oil. Stir about 750 g of flour in, cover the bowl and allow the dough to rise to double size about 45 min.
Bring some of the remaining flour on the table, pour the dough out and knead as much flour as the dough can take without getting heavy.
Roll the dough into a ball, knock it flat, hit one half above the other, and put the bread on a skewered plate. Cover it and allow it to rise to double size about 30 minutes.
Place a thin layer of flour over the bread and put the plate on the bottom groove in a 200 degree C. Alm. oven. Let it bake for about 1 hour.
It is baked when it sounds hollow if you knock with a finger at the bottom of the bread.
