Ingredients for Christmas-Limpa
½ | l | Ready-made mashed potatoes |
1 | tbsp | Finely chopped pomeranskal if necessary. anise or fennel |
1 | tbsp | Boiling water |
1 | tbsp | Salt |
1 | tbsp | Syrup |
2 | dl | Buttermilk or junket |
225 | g | Rye flour |
50 | g | Yeast |
500 | g | Wheat flour |
Instructions for Christmas-Limpa
To prepare the Christmas-Limpa recipe, please follow these instructions:
Mix the mashed potatoes and milk in a bowl. Crumble the yeast in and add salt, syrup and pomeranskal. (If you would like to have the bread also added spicy anise and fennel to taste). Add the rugmelet and knead wheat flour in little by little until the dough is shiny and smooth. Let dough raise under a cloth for about 3 min. Knead the dough through and form it into 4 round bread placed on a lined baking sheet. Let the bread to raise about 30 min. more under a cloth. Bake for about 35 minutes at 200 degrees. Just before the bread is finished swabbed there with sirupvand.
