Instructions for Brown cake
To prepare the Brown cake recipe, please follow these instructions:
Butter, suker and syrup is heated slowly to the boiling point. The Pan is moved onto the countertop and spices, coarsely chopped almonds, finely chopped orange peel and potash dissolved in a little hot water is stirred in. When all this has been lukewarm, stir in flour.
When the dough has cooled molded it into sausages of suitable thickness. These are packed individually in foil and freeze for the next day like longer. The sausages are taken directly from the freezer and cut into paper-thin slices.
They bake on top in the oven at 170 degrees c. alm. oven for approximately 5-6 minutes. Only when the cakes are quite cold out the in an airtight Tin.
