Melt the fat and pour it into a bowl. Add sugar and oatmeal. Mix flour and baking powder and stir it into the batter along with ginger, milk and syrup.
Line a plate with wax paper. Put the dough on the plate with a teaspoon, ca 12 paragraphs on each plate.
